MGP (MARINE GRADE POLYMER)
Marine Grade Polymer is a high-tech material that has been used for more than 20 years by shipbuilders on the topsides of sailing and motor yachts. Besides its extreme durability, this high density polyethylene is significant because it contains more than 30 percent recycled resin. It is also recyclable as Category 2 HDPE – High Density Polyethylene. Additionally, the raw materials, equipment and manufacturing processes emit no harmful gases or byproducts into the atmosphere, and all material waste is recycled back into the original product. Aside from its Green advantages, this marine grade polymer material provides a number of substantial benefits to consumers. It has zero porosity and will not absorb water, and will not crack, rot or separate in any outdoor environment. It also presents no fire hazard and is resistant to most chemicals. And because the color pigment is all through the material, a slightly scratched surface is less noticeable.
Sunbrella fabrics are engineered for a serviceable lifespan two to ten times longer than conventional fabrics. The environmental impact of producing cotton canvas, for example, must be multiplied many times to compare it with Sunbrella’s extended longevity. Sunbrella is a leader in performance fabrics for awnings and shade applications, marine tops and covers, indoor and outdoor furniture, accessories and more.
POWDER COATED ALUMINUM
Powder coated aluminum products are light weight, exceptionally strong, and guarantees a long lasting, rust and maintenance free product. This material is the perfect solution for highly corrosive environments, or for placement on porous or easily stained surfaces.
COR TEN STEEL
The maintenance-free surface of Corten weathering steel provides an earthy yet modern aesthetic that is as practical as it is beautiful. When exposed to the elements, Cor ten develops a stable rust-like oxidation layer that continually regenerates and protects the steel from corroding. Extremely durable and long lasting.
